Ralph got tired of being looked at as the villain and having no friends, so, he decided to win his own medal, but in order to do so, he had to go to Hero’s Duty, where he and Cy-Bug were launched out of the game and landed into the Sugar Crush.
There, Ralph meets Vanellope von Schweetz, an adorable little girl who had the same problem as him, no one accepted her as a professional night racer.  When Vanellope’s improvised racing car was destroyed by a bunch of other racers, Ralph intervened and tried to help Vanellope, who yelled at him and acted really rude.
When Ralph stumbled into another rejection from Vanellope’s side, he smashed a jaw breaker, and that’s when Vanellope decided that she can use that kind of force, so, she proposed to help him get his medal if he helps her to win a race by building a powerful racing car, and so they started to become friends, both getting what they want, Ralph got his medal and he was seen different by the other video game characters, and Vanellope won 1^st place on the race.
