Actually, Maleficent is a fantasy movie story where you girls will get to meet with these amazing and magical creatures, trying to live at the border with human communities. Maleficent is the protector of this magical realm named the Moors, where only fairies and other magical creatures live, and they all have this rule not to involve themselves with humans, it is totally forbidden.
Maleficent was once a beautiful and kind fairy, and she befriended a little peasant named Stefan, that came to the Moors hoping to steal a jewel, but she caught him and escorted him to the border, but on their way there, they actually befriended and kept in touch for years, until Stefan finally found out that Maleficent was not sharing his love feelings.
Stefan was so hurt when he found out that Maleficent doesn’t share his feelings, that he became the King Henry’s servant. King Henry became greedy and wanted to take over Moors, however, he got deadly injured in the combat, so he had to retreat to his castle where he lives for a little while longer, but enough to say that whoever kills Maleficent, will be named the king and marry his daughter, Princess Leila.
Stefan of course wanted the king’s place, so he went to Moors, drugged Maleficent and tried to kill her but couldn’t, so he cut off her wings with iron. Maleficent was so hurt by Stefan’s betrayal, that she turned her kingdom into darkness and surrounded it with impenetrable thorns.
Maleficent cursed Stefan’s newborn little girl, Aurora, that at the age of 16, she would prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and fall in a deep sleep, but somehow, Maleficent gets to truly love beautiful Aurora and becomes her fairy godmother, until Aurora finds out about Maleficent and King Stefan’s past, when she cursed Maleficent.
Once the curse got to its due date and Aurora turned sixteen, Maleficent tried to stop it but couldn’t, so, Aurora falled into a deep sleep and was awaken by her fairy godmother’s kiss and got to marry prince Phillip.
